SHOPPING!
29 Mar 2007 3 Comments
Went badmintoning with Wanqi and friends the other day. It was fun! The last time I went to play badminton was probably last year or something, at Fiknatic chalet. But since then, I seem to have lost my badminton rackets. I wonder if I ever remembered bringing them back... Where could they have disappeared to, man...

I watched the Messengers. It was... "mindlessly scary with a so-so plot". After I got over the freakish blue zombie faces, I started to think what's the purpose of having some of the scenes. Most of the scenes in the movie served no other purpose except to freak us out. Like how the girl saw something heading to the barn. And in the barn, she saw the zombie ghost boy who was sobbing and then attacked her. Like... that's it. What's the point of showing us the barn. Nothing happened there!

And yes, I know I screamed a lot. Very scary ): ): ): ):

This is kinda late, but happy bday shafik! Here are pictures of pretty people!

Would it be so easy to take pictures of ourselves if we had longer arms! :D

I am going to Bangkok this Saturday! I'm so excited. Just me, my mum and her friends. I hope there's LOTS of shopping there. I changed like $200 to spend. Gonna get pumps, tops, tanks, spags, shoes, bags, laptop bag!!! WAHAHHA SHOPPING WITH MY MUM. It's been a long time we spent some quality time together. <3 <3 <3

FIKNATIC CHALET
25 Mar 2007 1 Comments

It is time once again for the biannual Fiknatic chalet. Well I think it's biannual. Arrived on Friday evening. It all started with a bunch of cockroaches in the chalet. It was soooo scary. THEY WERE EVERWHERE. Like there were 2 in the toilets, another 2 in the bedroom and when I went to the bathroom to wash my feet, 1 cornered me!! D: I hate cockroaches because they're so darn fast! Anyway, after Shafik killed them all with boiling water, the screaming stopped and we went out at around 1030 to watch a midnight movie. This is really exciting because I've never watched a movie this late, nor have I taken a Night Owl bus before!

Watched Music and Lyrics. Thought it was your average love story but I found the script delightfully captivating! It was very natural, and the jokes were subtle yet hilarious. Caught the Night Owl back to Pasir Ris. Riding in the bus late at night, on clear streets and cruising down the highway is nice.

Saturday was my first shopping outing since the holidays started! Was planning to go to the Flee Market by SGST. I went with Faz only because all the others I asked were busy with their own school, work and friends. Anyway the flea market wasn't that great. Didn't find anything much but 1 graphic tee. The jewellery was overpriced and didn't find much stuff. Maybe because Nad bought all the good stuff when she came earlier at 12pm.

Tiq had a stall there, and even told me that there was this psycho girl who bought lots of stuff from her, later changed into the clothes she bought and then brought a different group of friends to the stall, telling them that's where she got her clothes from. I THINK THAT GIRL WAS NAD.

After that, Faz and I stopped for Starbucks coffee. Java Chip <3 We headed to Bugis Street after that. Saw loads of nice stuff. But I was saving for skinnies so was in search of those. Found out I didn't look good in New Future skinnies because they were too short and didn't create that stacked effect at the bottom. Then it looked like tight black leggings eee.

Arrived back at the chalet at around 8pm. 5 hours of walking really tired me out. I'm not really the fittest person around lah. *faint* A few other people have come to the chalet too. Was like really tired, so I went to bed early while the rest went Ghost Hunting. Eee Shafik drew a pochong to let me see. So scaryyy I didn't know how pochongs look like. Like bundled up corpses. x( x( x( With the help of a 3rd eye, I heard they actually felt something by a bench, and one even saw something in the tree. Do I believe in ghosts? Definitely. Especially when friends claim that they can see. Why would friends lie right?

Was the last to wake up the next day. Pfft. Can't help it, I'm too used to my 10 hours a day sleep! Watched a bit of tv as everyone started arriving. Had a bit of lunch at the BBQ pit and then we played a treasure hunting game. I was in the Blue team with Destiny, Anati, Shasha, Fiza and Luqman. We sorta bullied Luqman to run here and there hahahhaa. Sorry ah x) At the last stop, Anthony's team was like running to the breakwater and then like we also ran. So I sprinted like crazy and then tired like dog. So pathetic. Run like that then so tired. -_-"

Had to leave early because it's my sister's birthday, so I cabbed home to put all my stuff and showered. Went to Swensen's after that. Shared pasta with my sis and had Cookie Summit ice cream. It's my mum's treat for all her kids' birthdays hehe. Our birthdays all close together.

I bought my sister a big pillow with her name handstitched by me on it :P Hoohoo. Am full, tired but happy. Till next time!

THOSE WERE THE DAYS
23 Mar 2007 0 Comments

Years and years ago, I remembered piling up a few pillows on the floor and sitting behind them with a cashier's tray filled with money borrowed from my granny. My sister will then grab things off the shelves and put them on the 'counter'. Then I'd add the costs and put the items in paper bags. She'd pay with her credit card too, and I'd pretend to swipe it. I wasn't even that young. Because she's 7 years younger than me. So I was probably 12 or 13 when I played Cashier Cashier. But now my sister's turning 11 years old (in a few days), and she is too busy with MSN to play these things. She's too busy hanging out at her friend's place playing computer games.

Where have those times gone. Children have changed so much in such a short span of time. A friend of mine claimed his 4 year old cousin plays Maple Story. (!!!) Imagine that assassin calling you n00b could very well be a 4-year-old kid.

I kind of get irritated when my sister's on MSN like every moment at home. When we watch Hanakimi together, she's on MSN at the same time. When she eats, she's msning at the same time. When she does homework, the laptop's on next to her. She's at it the whole time. And their conversation is like "Let's play the Yo game. YOYOYOYOYOYOYO..." zzz. And gossiping. And stuff like "What are you doing?" "Nothing, you?" "Nothing" "..."
